Every night, red lice visit your roosting hens. The parasites gorge themselves on blood and then return to their hiding place. The consequences for your poultry can be serious.

Your hens can become anemic and even die. Red blood lice can also lead to a reduction in egg production, though not necessarily to death. Young birds are particularly sensitive to these insects, which hide in every crack and crevice of your henhouse.
