Preservation solution L'Ovidol

Indispensable to preserve your eggs for a very long time and enjoy fresh eggs outside the laying period. Eat eggs in winter that are as fresh as the ones you find in summer in the henhouse.  Only one product allows this: Ovidol combined with Barral. One package will keep 100 eggs for 1 year!  This magic product, marketed until the 20th century, had its golden age before the arrival of electricity and the principle of refrigeration. It was gradually forgotten, replaced by other methods of preservation.  Today, L'Ovidol is back in force and will not be forgotten anytime soon!   

Directions for use: To preserve your eggs for a year, simply follow the following protocol: 

- Fill your container with 8 liters of water and pour the entire contents of a bag of Ovidol.

- Stir vigorously 4 to 5 times during one hour then let the solution rest for about 10 minutes. The bath should become clear and a deposit should form at the bottom of the container.

- Place fresh, clean eggs under at least 10 cm of solution. - Keep the container covered, but not sealed, in a cool, frost-free place. - Do not move the can containing the eggs. 

Precautions:

- Remember to check the can regularly.

- If necessary, discard any cracked eggs or eggs that are supernatant in the solution, as they may contaminate the entire can.

- A bad smell indicates the presence of one or more broken eggs. Remove all the eggs from the solution, sort them out and put them in a new solution.

- In case of evaporation, add a little water without stirring to maintain the liquid level.

- Before cooking, simply rinse the eggs with clean water.
